Welcome to Valley Veterinary Clinic

 NEW HOURS

At Valley Veterinary Clinic we feel strongly that your pets are an important part of your family, and we treat them as if they were a part of our family.  Family is very important to us and to our staff.  In order to improve the quality of family life for our many staff, we are making an important change in our hours.  After much discussion Valley Veterinary Clinic has decided to close on Saturdays starting April 1st.  Dr. Button is returning from her maternity leave on April 6th, coinciding with this change.  We will extend our evening hours to 8 pm Tues, Wed & Thurs, in order to accommodate our clients not available during the day.  We hope that this will not be an inconvenience to our clients working in Ottawa, and that gradually everyone will adapt to this new schedule.  A veterinarian will be available by phone on the weekend for emergencies.  We hope for your support and understanding in this decision, which is intended to improve the quality of life for our valued and wonderful staff.

Heartworm Clinics

Spring is here!  It is time to pick up medication for flea, tick and heartworm prevention for your pets.

Tick season has already begun, and mosquitos carrying heartworm will be here soon.  Fleas are a year round concern in both dogs and cats.  Keep your home flea free this summer!

Heartworm and Lyme disease testing clinics will be held on Thursday afternoons from 3-8 pm in May.  Call the clinic now to make an appointment

 HST NOTICE

Under the new HST regulations in Ontario, veterinary clinics will be required to charge HST on all products and services.  As of July 1, 2010 we will be adding 8% tax to all of our fees for a total of 13%.  This change will be reflected in all service fees, prescriptions and other medications.  Food sales are already subject to PST, and will remain the same.
