Veterinary Technician

Ellen Clark

Ellen has been with Valley Vet since July 1996. Previously she spent 12 years with a mixed farm/small animal practice in Perth, and is familiar with every aspect of running a practice - from reception to medicine to business management. Her specialties are anesthesia, dentistry, and animal pain control. We are very lucky to have Ellen, and her 25 years experience, as a part of our team.

Equine Technician

Karen Noble

Karen has been with Valley Vet since 1995. She coordinates all aspects of the equine portion of VVC. Her horsemanship experience is invaluable for assisting horse owners with questions as well as assisting our veterinarians with such things as radiographs, artificial insemination and general anaesthesia.  She breeds Sport Horses, and loves to spend time starting her young horses.

Veterinary Assistant

Christine Brennan

Before joining Valley Vet, Christine spent 6 years as a supervisor of a large pet store where she specialized in the care of exotic pets. While working, Christine attended Algonquin College and graduated with her Veterinary Assistant certificate.  She is an accomplished horsewoman having successfully shown for many years on the trillium and A circuits and winning numerous Equitation, Hunter and Jumper Championships and awards.  She is relied upon to provide nursing care and monitoring to both equine and small animal patients here at VVC.  When not at work Christine helps to manage the family farm, Kilkenny, and is always on the lookout for her next special horse.

Receptionist

Kelly McLellan

Kelly has been working in the veterinary field since 1990. While working at Valley Veterinary Clinic, she returned to College to graduate with honors, as a Medical Laboratory Technician. Kelly is always at the front desk to greet patients and owners with a smile.  Kelly has a soft spot for Pugs, and recently acquired a new young male.  In her spare time, she has become a certified foot reflexologist and a third level Reiki practitioner. She loves working with animals and is glad to be back at Valley Veterinary Clinic

Veterinary Technician

Holly Wallace

Holly joined our team this year as a new techinician from St. Lawrence college.  She lives on her family farm in Arnprior, and enjoys farm and family life.  Holly is rapidly becoming an invaluable member of the team as she improves her skills daily.  Holly is ready and eager to speak to you about your pets over the phone or at the front desk!

Kennel Assistant

Mary Jane Murphy

Mary Jane has now joined Valley Vet as permanent employee, after spending time doing relief work.  She has two grown children and makes her home in Ferguson's Falls with her husband Mike.  MJ can be found doing all the daily care of your animals when they are here in the hospital, and generally keeping us all clean and organized!

Student

Hannah Gaines

Hannah is a student at Kemptville College. She enjoys horseback riding and is currently competing in the western riding events.  At school she works hard maintaining an 80+ average and is on the polo team. Hannah's true passion is working with horses as she spends every free minute in the barn, but also enjoys learning about cats and dogs during her hours spent at the clinic. We enjoy having students at the clinic and appreciate their hard work.

Fancy Feline Friend

Thomas

Thomas is our fabulous clinic cat.  He can be found lounging on the front desk, greeting new patients and generally entertaining the staff and clients.  He enjoys sleeping on comfy chairs, basking in the sun, occasionally hunting mice, and mostly eating.  Although his age is unknown we hope he will be with us for many years to come.  Please feel free to pet Tom when you see him around the clinic!
